“I didn’t see greeting cards for people of color, especially African American people in the LGBT community.”

Chicago-based artist Otis Richardson saw a lack of inclusivity and representation in the greeting card market. In response, he created LavenderPop in 2004 to cater to a broad range of affectionsand he’s been celebrating diversity in the LGBTQ community ever since.
